We’ve spent months checking out the very best, and most significant, and at times rare and endangered New Zealand native plants to create a natural space for children to play. To see trees in their more mature state we have explored the botanic gardens over several weekends checking out the best child friendly plants.
Today we saw the first young ones playing at Kakapo Creek: a mother and nine baby ducklings have made our puddles their playground. How lovely to welcome nature into our children’s garden! Can you spot them in the picture below?
