Perhaps you entered early childhood teaching because it was a calling deep within. You experience joy when you are with children and you delight in their simple pleasures and curiosity. You have a sense of fun and play yourself and enjoy adventures with children. Maybe you have a special talent or interest. Perhaps you play the guitar, breed native geckos, love vegetable gardening or art or woodwork. Perhaps you’ve found yourself wondering if ECE can be better than what you are currently experiencing as a teacher and you really want to make a difference, not only in your own life and classroom but to the early childhood sector as a whole.

We are an attachment based early childhood centre in the heart of Mairangi Bay on Auckland’s North Shore. We are seeking to do something different in early childhood – to try to make the care and education we give to families truly personal, meaningful and good.  We are innovative, base our practice on evidence based research, and are committed to learning through nature, play and relationships.

Our philosophy is not from 100 year old theorists but builds on their shoulders using modern neuroscience and attachment theories.
