Enrichment Programs are a popular and well established educational experience for children at Kakapo Creek. They are offered on a term by term basis and some incur additional fees as an optional extra. Enrichment programs do not operate during primary school holidays. Because our fees are spread out across the year, there is no discount during the holidays. This makes invoicing and budgeting simpler.
Our unique Farm School curriculum provides an ideal setting for preschoolers to challenge their zone of proximal development through engaging, hands-on experiences with nature and farm life. Our dedicated Farm School programme leader fosters a nurturing atmosphere where children can build foundational skills for their academic journey. This is achieved through meaningful interactions with animals, gardening activities, exploration of the natural world, and resilience-building exercises, all while integrating social, cognitive, literacy, and numeracy skills. There are 30 Farm School vacancies each term – 10 on each of Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday. Farm School is available to children aged three and over who are toilet trained on a first come, first served basis for each school term. Fees are averaged over a full 52 week year and are charged at $53 per week, payable with your fees each week. There is no discount from this fee and make up days will be offered only if and when available. There are no refunds or make-up days if your child is absent. *If enrolled 5 long days a week farm school is discounted to $43 per week
Other Enrichment Programs that incur additional fees are our Tuakana School Readiness Program and STEAM.
